In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Having considered your letter of the 13th inst; concerning the four 2nd Rate Ships intended to be built, and it being resolved they should be built in their Majesties' Yards, we direct you to contract with some Merchant Builders for building the 60 Gun Ships mentioned in your letter, which were to be built in one of their Majesties' Yards.
Likewise consider and report in which of their Majesties' Yards the said 2nd Rate Ships can be most conveniently be built, and give orders for setting them up with all possible speed, taking care that all of them are taken in hand next year.
