In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

By your letter of the 6th June last you have stated the Account of Disbursements said to be made by Captain John Benbow and the late Captain Phillips in their late expedition against St. Malo, and also the Disbursements of Captain Phillips in 1692 when taking a view of Jersey, Guernsey and adjacent Coasts.
We signify our approval of these Accounts and direct you to pay them.
Your letter of the 17th inst; informed us that Mr Ellis of Shoreham has offered to build another 5th Rate Ship in place of the HASTINGS which is now being launched, which we approve of.
We desire you agree with him for building another 5th Rate of the same dimensions as the HASTINGS on the best terms you can, set up and built as soon as you can, sending us an Estimate of the Charges for building her and fitting her for Sea.
