In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Your letter of 24 December 1694 advised us that the Pink building for His Majesty at Eling, will be ready to be launched the first spring in February. She is named the WREN and established with the same number of men and guns as is allowed to the MARTIN ketch. You are directed to have her launched as soon as may be convenient and fitted out for service in the Channel and victualled for 3 months. She is to be entered on the list of the Royal Navy.
