In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

You have protected several seamen to serve in the new third rate building at Deptford and you are directed to send us an account of the names of such men, together with a copy of their protections, and any other men you have protected to serve in other ships. You are to send us an account of all their names and for what ships they are protected together with a copy of their protection, letting us know your reasons for protecting them and by what authority you do this.
