In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

The following orders relating to the two Marine Regiments should be given viz. (1) The Clerks of the Cheque to allow officers and their servants who have been absent from 22 February 1693 to the times they appeared at their muster, upon certificates from their respective Colonels. (2) That they allow Sergeants, Corporals and Drums employed in raising recruits from the date of the recruiting order to the times they appeared at their muster, upon certificates from their respective Colonels. (3) That they allow Officers, their servants, Sergeants, Corporals and Drums to be absent as shall be necessary upon certificates from their respective Colonels. (4) To continue in the muster books all such men who have been put on shore sick until they are capable of service upon certificate from the Surgeon, Constable of the place and two commissioned officers of the company.
