In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The ships DUNKIRKE, RESERVE, RUBY, MANCHESTER, SWANN and TERRIBLE are to go to the West Indies under the command of Captain Robert Wilmott of the DUNKIRKE. You are directed to provide Captain Wilmott with money according to what provisions each ship needs and shall carry to pay the seamen. You are also to direct the Commissioners of the Victualling to pay the Pursers before they sail money due to them for beer, rum and sugar. You are to imprest to Captain Wilmott £500 for contingencies for the squadron and to have the wages due to him paid for the time he commanded the ELIZABETH.
