In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Your letter of 5 January advised us that the new 5th rate ship building at Ipswich is to be launched about 20 February and is to be named the MILFORD and established with the same number of men and guns allowed for the PORTSMOUTH. You are directed to have her fitted for service in the Channel and victualled for 3 months with all possible dispatch and entered on the list of the Royal Navy.
