In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
His Majesty having determined to send 3,000 land soldiers to Cadiz to serve in the fleet commanded by the Rt. Hon. The Admiral Russell, you are directed to have them put aboard the transport ships with 2 months provisions at whole allowance for 1,000 soldiers more, over and above the provisions lately ordered for the 2,000 soldiers. You are to give us an account of when the 3 months victualling for the fleet in the Straits will be at the Buoy of the Nore and to hasten them there with all speed.
