In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Petition of David Elliott, late Gunner of the SWALLOW, who has served for 46 years in several ships of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th rates and for 13 years has been Master Gunner in the MASSINGBIRD, CROWNE and SWALLOW from which last ship he was discharged by reason of age and sickness. After recovery he continues to serve in the LONDON but now grown very old, weakened and incapable of further service at the age of 72 petitions for a pension. (Petition referred to the Navy Board to report to the Board of Admiralty). Petition undated. Letter to Navy Board.
