In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Your letter of 11 January about Captain Thomas Kercher, deceased, and his compliance with his instructions, advised us that he had borne 3407 men for one day more than the complement. By the order of this Board of 29 November 1692 for entering seamen in Ireland and bearing them as supernumeraries, there appears to be 755 men for a day more than the complement. You are therefore directed to have his wages paid taking care that the King be made a saver for the 755 supernumeraries.
