In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Commanders of the PORTSMOUTH and STAR bomb vessels, advised this Board of damage by ice in the river. You are directed, as soon as the frost shall break, to send down workmen to repair the damage and to give orders that other bomb vessels, either in the Thames or the Medway, may also be repaired.
