Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

Their Lordships having sent orders to Commodore Greenhill at Plymouth, that in case the Cadiz convoy pass by there without calling for the ships at that port, he orders ships or vessels that are laden with provisions or stores for the fleet at Cadiz to come to Portsmouth, so that they may be ready to proceed with the men-of-war and bomb vessels going to the Straits. (signed by Josiah Burchett believed to be temporary Acting Secretary).
