In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You have advised us in your letter of 9 January that £30 was imprested to Jonathon Ashby, deceased in 1688, on account of his manning the DEFIANCE, and that no account having been brought to your office for clearing it was abated out of his last quarter's salary. You are directed to have the £30 paid in case no more money was imprested to him or any other officers on account of manning the DEFIANCE.
