In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Navy Board has proposed bringing the HAMPTON COURT either to Woolwich or to Blackwall in order to be docked. Sir Cloudesley Shovell has been instructed to send her to Longreach accompanied by a Tender to carry all her Foremast Men to the Nore as soon as her guns and powder has been removed; and ordering that as many Riggers as are required be put aboard in order to bring her either to Woolwich or Blackwall where she is to be laid up and paid off. Warrant Officers belonging to the HAMPTON COURT are to be turned over into the KENT for disposal as Admiral Lord Berkeley thinks fit.
