In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Thompson of the NEW AFRICA Hired ship bound for New England has notified the Admiralty that he is short of Men and is asking to be allowed some of the soldiers currently aboard the HOPE that is sailing for New England with masts. The Board is instructed to look into it and come up with an alternative proposal should Captain Thompson's request not prove practicable.
