In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Enclosing a copy of the Orders given to various Vice Admirals for procuring Men for the Fleet this Summer and instructing that a sum of one hundred pounds is to be impressed to each of the Clerks of the Cheque and Muster Masters mentioned on the reverse. Captains Fairfax and Fowlis of the NEWCASTLE at Hull and the GLOUCESTER at Bristol are to receive the same. If any Muster Master or Commander requires more money they are to be instructed to draw Bills on the Navy Board. A list on the reverse gives the names of three Muster Masters and seven Clerks of the Cheque based at various ports.
