A brief history of the Belfast Steamship Company, which carried passengers between Liverpool and Belfast. The Liverpool and Belfast Steam Packet Company was formed in 1824 and after various mergers and other arrangements the Belfast Steamship company came into being in 1852. There are colour illustrations of the Ulster Monarch, which carried more than 250,000 troops in World War Two, and the Ulster Prince, which replaced a vessel of the same name sunk off Crete in 1941. Includes further black and white photographs, a fleet list, and basic index.
