Cunard : a photographic history /Janette McCutcheon.
This illustrated history of the Cunard line features over 200 illustrations, most of which were previously unpublished. These include artwork from Cunard advertising material, drawings, photographs, and souvenirs such as menus and tickets. The story of Cunard is recounted, from sucessful beginnings in the Atlantic and competition with the White Star Line; its losses and recovery after World War One, including developing the 'Queens'; its failing fortunes after World War Two; and its rise from strength to strength after the purchase of the Kvaerner line.
