(It is a companion volume to Shipwrecks of Kent by the same author.) The contents are arranged in chapters covering warship losses, merchant vessels lost during war, losses arising from collision, stranding and fire. The final chapter explores lifeboats and rescuers. Illustrated throughout with photographs of the vessels and those involved.
