This book documents the history and stories of the great ships of the Cunard Line of the 1950s and 1960s and has chapters on the Queen Mary, the Queen Elizabeth, the Aquitania, the ships Franconia, Samaria, Ascania and Scythia, the Britannic, the Georgic, the Mauretania, the Caronia, the ships Media and Parthia, the P&O ship the Stratheden, the Saxonia/Carmania, the Ivernia/Franconia, the Carinthia and Sylvania and finally, a chapter on the Queen Elizabeth 2. The book is illustrated throughout with black and white and coloured photographs as well as copies of advertising literature from the 1950s and 1960s.
