A history of four vessels of the White Star fleet: Celtic (1901), Cedric (1903), Baltic (1904) and Adriatic (1907), covering their service as civilian passenger ships sailing from Liverpool and Southampton to New York, and as armed merchant cruisers and troop ships in the First World War. The history of each vessel includes interior and exterior photographs, illustrations and diagrams, as well as postcards and advertisements depicting the ships. Images of first, second and third class accommodation are included.
