Valetta (1883)
A whole plate negative. A port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Valetta (1883) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has three yards on each of her fore and main masts, has awnings rigged aft and is flying the blue peter. The deckhouses ahead of her foremast are short and she has a white riband below the upper level of scuttles in her hull. The passenger ferry Cato (1849) is alongside. Tilbury Fort is in the background.
