Vectis (1881)

A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger cruise ship Vectis (1881), formerly the passenger/cargo liner Rome (1881), at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is shown as modified after 1904 with a longer poop. She has awnings rigged and is flying the blue peter and a pilot flag. She has a tug alongside her starboard side forward. It is low tide and Tilbury is in the background.
