Vigilant (1874)
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the paddle tug Vigilant (1874) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. Her funnels have been painted black with the two white rings of the United Steam Tug Co Ltd. Tilbury is in the background. The glass negative has broken and been repaired with tape and a 10x8 safety film copy negative has been made.
