Wakool (1898)
A 12x10 negative. A port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Wakool (1898) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is emitting steam from the steampipe before the funnel. A number of passengers are on deck ahead of the bridge. Two rowing boats are alongside at the foot of a rope ladder amidships. Tilbury is in the background. Her stem is very close to the edge of the negative and the tip of her counter stern is just out of the picture. Negatives numbers G160, G169 and G980 were taken on the same occasion.
