Whampoa (1873)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo ship Whampoa (1873) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an auxiliary barque rig with three yards on each of her fore and main masts. In the foreground is a steam workboat and passenger launch named Midge. Beyond her is a small two masted schooner yacht. Tilbury is in the background.
