Whampoa (1873)
A whole plate negative. A starboard broadside view of the passenger/cargo ship Whampoa (1873) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an auxiliary barque rig and an awning is rigged aft. A spritsail barge is alongside her port quarter. Negatives numbers G1703 and G1947 were taken on the same occasion.
