A river scene with fishing boats and fishermen sorting their nets on shore.
Medium includes pen and black ink.; Exhibition: Painters of the Sea, Brighton, 1979.; Signed by artist and dated, lower right. The location is uncertain but the fishermen appear to be living on their boats for a period using the characteristic hooped tent arrangement seen on one of them, which was common with Thames Peter boats, though these are larger craft. They may be dobles on the Medway but this is speculation. [PvdM 7/07]
