Sea chest handle

Sea chest handle, or becket, mounted on a piece of carved, varnished oak that represents the cleat of the sea chest. The becket is made from white Belfast cord with two star knots of white glace cord. The eyes are worked in ring bolt hitching, there are two star knots on the bolt. The becket itself is covered by two styles of grafting separated by Turk's heads, with coach whipping in the middle of the loop.
