Drawings for Poole's Myriorama. 'Combat of the Clouds'; rough colour sketches. War of the Worlds. Fleet of imaginary airships, being attacked by other imaginary aircraft
Design for the final effects scene from 'The Warfare Review, 1805-1915'. The futuristic aircraft are in combat on the front of the sheet and the reverse is painted as black sky with shell bursts left white. This shows it was a transparency scene which, when lit by flashes from behind, would show the bursts destroying the aircraft on the front. PAF6212 shows the final outcome. See notes to PAF6204.
