Islanders outside a sea-shore shrine, Huahine
Plate No.6. The full title is 'A View in the Island of Huaheine; with the Ewharra no Etua, or House of God; a small altar with its offering; and a tree called Owharra with which houses are thatched' . It was engraved after Parkinson, from an image made from two of his drawings. The tree at left, with some other adjustments was taken from the second drawing when James Barralet made the version which William Woolett then endgraves in Hawkesworth's account of the voyage (1773).
