Almirante Brown (1880)

A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port broadside view of the Argentine Navy central battery corvette Almirante Brown (1880) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on her foremast. She undertook her builder's final speed trials on the Maplin Measured Mile 14 June 1881 and this photograph was taken on or soon after this date. Tilbury is in the background.
