Portrait of the 'Expedition'?
An unsigned pencil and wash portrait of the ‘Expedition’ by the Elder, viewed from the starboard quarter with square decorated ports.
For a similar ship, believed to be the ‘Providence’, see PAH9345. As neither the ‘Providence’ nor the ‘Expedition’ was in the Restoration squadron, the drawing was presumably made with others at Chatham circa 1661.
