A boat with five men in it
This work depicts a boat with five men in it viewed from the starboard bow with an oar out to starboard. There are two ships and several other vessels in the background.
This is an unsigned pencil and wash drawing by the Elder, approximately dated by watermarks. In Robinson’s view the drawing is of poor quality in crude pencil and a little wash. He believes it may have been drawn over by a later hand, and that it does not seem possible that it is wholly the work of the Elder.
