Dutch fishing craft at a pier

A crowded scene of kaags, pinks and boats lying with their heads to a pier. There are ships at anchor across the background and a further shore in the distance.

This is a pencil and wash drawing by the Younger, signed in brown ink, ‘W.V.VJ’. According to Robinson this work is distinguished by its atmosphere and aerial perspective.
