A samoreus at anchor
The fore half of a samoreous, seen from the starboard side, with its mainsail and staysail lowered.
This is an unsigned pencil drawing, by the Younger. According to Robinson the pencil-work is almost certainly by the Younger, but the even wash of light brown over the whole drawing is unusual and may be the addition of a later hand. It has been very approximately dated by the style and watermark.
