A damlooper before a light breeze
A small vessel, probably a damlooper, viewed from close on the starboard bow. The luff of the jib is boomed out. (See PAF6499)
This is an unsigned pencil and grey wash drawing by the Younger. According to Robinson the pencil-work is almost certainly by the Younger, but the even wash of light brown over the whole drawing is unusual and may be the addition of a later hand. It has been very approximately dated by the style and watermark.
