Portrait of a small Dutch frigate
A small frigate, viewed from before the starboard beam. It depicts a port on the gundeck, forward of the fore chains and one abaft the main chains. There is also a small wreathed port on the upper deck at the break of the forecastle. Other ports are indistinct.
Inscribed above the head ‘orisont’ (horizon).
This is an unsigned pencil drawing by the Younger. According to Robinson, it is more rapid and less accurate than PAH8891, especially in the drawing of the forecastle, but probably belongs to the same period.
