Portrait of the 'Kitchen'
A portrait of the ‘Kitchen’, viewed from the starboard beam while under way and showing only the foot of the mainmast and bowsprit.
It depicts two square decorated ports forward and two round ports abaft the gangway, with a double light and a small badge on the quarter.
This is an unsigned pencil drawing by the Younger, with pen and grey ink. It is a slight drawing, not rubbed on the back, but possibly an offset worked up. According to Robinson, the date appears to be contemporary with the drawing, but like PAH5018, it is possible that it is as late as March 1673.
