The Dutch fleet in light airs: a council-of-war
In the centre middle distance is a port bow view of the commander-in-chief’s ship (possibly the ‘Zeven Provincien’), with a number of boats alongside and others pulling towards her. Two galjoots are depicted in the left centre.
This is an unsigned offset by the Elder, with a little pencil and wash. It is of doubtful date and authenticity.
