Catting and fishing an anchor of an English ship
Four slight sketches on one sheet of paper showing the port anchor being catted, half out of the water; the starboard anchor being catted; the port anchor being fished, viewed from the starboard bow; and the fish tackle of the starboard anchor being passed, viewed from the starboard broadside.
On the back here are three more sketches depicting the starboard anchor being catted, viewed from the starboard broadside, half the shank above water; anoher drawing similar to this, but lower in the water; and men in a boat, perhaps cleaning the anchor.
Inscribed on the back ‘elisabet / bennet’ (Elizabeth Bennet).
This is an unsigned pencil drawing by the Younger, with very slight sketches. It has been approximately dated by the watermark.
