The stern of an English ship, circa 1685

The stern and starboard quarter-gallery of a two-decker as built after 1678, having a small royal coat of arms between two rows of stern windows.

This is an unsigned offset by the Younger, possibly from a drawing by the Elder. It has been touched in a few places with pencil and is not rubbed on the back. It has been approximately dated by the subject.
