An English ship on the rocks and another driving on

On the left, the fore part only of a ship on the rocks; the fore lower-mast, bowspritsail topmast are shown. A boat is leaving her and there are some men on rocks in the right foreground. In the centre, a port bow view of a ship with fore and main yards aportlast and with topsail yards crossed, driving towards the wrecked ship.

It has been inscribed on the back, ‘2 duijm Langher’ (Two inches longer).

This is a pencil drawing by the Younger with slight touches of pen and brown ink. It has been signed in brown in ‘W.V.VJ.’
