An English flagship with a Royal yacht under her stern

A starboard broadside view of an English two-decker before a light breeze under fore course, mizzen, main and mizzen topsails and fore topsail lowered on the cap; a flag at the main. A yacht close-hauled on the starboard tack is passing close under her stern. There is another ship on the left close-hauled, and a third on the right before the wind.

This is an unsigned pen and brown ink drawing by the Younger. It is inscribed ‘dit verkies is beter / Ao 1704’ (This choice is better. Anno 1704).
