A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port broadside view of the Chilean Navy central battery ironclad Blanco Encalada (1875) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has been refitted and rearmed by Armstrong on the Tyne and is on the voyage back to Chile. Tilbury is in the background.
