Dutch ships at anchor drying sails

To the right, a port broadside view of a States yacht with her sails set in a light air of wind; she is firing a salute with her forward guns as a state barge pulls past. A ship is at anchor in the background. A number of bezan yachts under sail.

This is a drawing by the Younger in pen, brown ink and grey wash over slight preliminary work in pencil. It has the part signature ‘W.V.VJ.’ Two of the boats may have been added later; both are shown too large for the ship beyond.
