A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the United States Navy screw corvette Brooklyn (1858) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is ship rigged and her funnel is fully retracted. She has windsail ventilators rigged and has painted ports. Tilbury ferry pontoon and railway station are in the left background.
