A Dutch ship with several vessels in light airs off the coast

To the right, a port quarter view of a ship before a very light air under fore course, mizzen, topsails and topgallants. There is a states yacht astern of her on the extreme right. In the left foreground, a sprit-rigged galjoot is also before the wind. Other ships are shown in the background and there is land in the distance.

This is an unsigned pencil and wash drawing by the Elder. The wash in the foreground, on the galjoot and on the ship, may have been added by a later hand.
