A squadron of the Dutch fleet at anchor off Texel

A distant view of about a dozen ships lying close in to the shore near a tower. All the ships, seen from the starboard bow, have their fore and main yards acockbill. The admiral is on the left, the vice-admiral close to port and the rear-admiral over on the right. In the left foreground, a starboard broadside view of a galjoot close-hauled on the starboard tack.

This is an unsigned pencil and wash drawing by the Younger, strengthened with a little pen and brown ink.
