A kaag and pink under sail with ships at anchor

To the left is a starboard bow view of a kaag before a light breeze with a pink, port bow view, luffing up under her bow. Further to the left is the bow view of a boat pulling. Ships at anchor in the background include the admiral of the centre and the vice-admiral of the van. Land is depicted in the right distance.

This is an unsigned pencil and wash drawing by the Younger.

Three dotted lines below the pink and two boats indicate the positions in the composition to make the boats appear the correct size; in the positions they have been drawn they appear too large compared with the nearby vessels.
